CAAB launches three technologies

Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority (CAAB) launched three digital technologies on Wednesday to provide easy and modern assistance to both foreign and domestic passengers in the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA), Dhaka.
The three technologies are HSIA Digital Airport Service App for passengers, AvSec ID System to increase airport security, and Height Clearance Management System to facilitate building construction around the airport. CAAB initiated these technologies to provide smarter services in the airport, said officials.
State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mahbub Ali inaugurated these in a ceremony, organised by CAAB in the HSIA.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Mokammel Hoss- ain spoke on the occasion, while CAAB Chairman Air Vice Marshal Muha -mmad Mafidur Rahman chaired it.
Mr Mahbub Ali stated that the government's efforts to make air travel in the country easier and more advanced are going on and visible.
A comprehensive development is underway in the country's tourism and aviation sectors. The government's focus on these areas is rapidly changing the landscape.
"I believe that this industry will play a crucial role in building an advanced Bangladesh," he added.
The state minister inaugurated HSIA Digital Airport Service App to provide easy and modern services to passengers.
The app has been developed by Prime Tech Solutions Ltd, Spinoff Studio and Innovazione Technologies JV with the support of ICT Division's Mobile Game and Skill Development Project.
Asaduzzaman Asad, founder of Spinoff Studio, said the mobile app is capable of providing all types of information and directions to assist and serve passengers. It can provide specific instructions on all the steps in the airport for expatriate Bangladeshi workers. Understanding each step, one can complete all the tasks without any assistance. In other words, this app can make every passenger a smart traveler.
