CAB President Kazi Faruque passes away

Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) President Quazi Faruque died of cardiac arrest at his residence at Mirpur in the city on Tuesday morning. He was 66. He was suffering from heart diseases, diabetes, high blood pressure and eye ailments. Faruque was a pioneer in consumer movement, a journalist, a writer and the presenter of Bangladesh Betar magazine ‘Darpan’. He was born at Satkhira in 1948. Along with consumer movement, Quazi Faqurue served as the chairman of Cooperative Credit Union Ltd for six years, said a press release.
