Cabinet body to sit Thursday

The cabinet committee on selecting the Ekushey Padak Awards will sit Thursday next to finalise the proposals concerning the names of recipients this year, reports UNB.

Cabinet Secrerary M Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan informed this while briefing the journalists after the Cabinet meeting Monday.

Replying to a query, he said the cabinet in its meeting did not give the approval, rather the cabinet committee on Ekhushey Padak select the names.

Later, the Prime Minister gives the final approval and it is considered as cabinet approval.
