Canadian awards for journalism

The High Commission of Canada and Bangladesh Centre for Development, Journalism and Communication (BCDJC) Tuesday invited applications for the 'Canadian Awards for Excellence in Bangladeshi Journalism'.
Reports on 'the impact of and adaptation to climate change in Bangladesh' must have been published in Bangladeshi print media or broadcast in the electronic media between January 1 and December 31, 2009, said a BCDJC statement.
A total of six awards -- three for print, two for television and one for news agencies -- will be given.
Interested journalists can submit maximum two stories or scripts by January 21 next and the entries can be sent to BCDJC, 53 Central Road (3rd Floor), Dhanmondi, Dhaka 1205.
