Cat Barton new Dhaka Bureau chief of AFP

British national Cat Barton has taken over as Dhaka Bureau chief of Agence France-Press (AFP).
Ms Barton replaces Julie Clothier, who has returned to her native country - New Zealand, the bureau said in a statement.
Ms Barton is originally from London, England and studied at the University of Cambridge.
She has worked for AFP, the French wire service, in Hong Kong and has also recently worked as the news editor of a daily English language paper in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
"I am very excited to have arrived in Bangladesh and look forward to learning more about this fascinating country," Ms Barton said.
