C&F agent rescued in city 2 days after his abduction

Detective Branch (DB) of police rescued a C&F agent of Benapole port from the city's Mugda area early Thursday two days after he was reportedly kidnapped by miscreants, reports UNB.
The rescued man was identified as Habibur Rahman Habi, a trader of C&F agent in Benapole port and son of Abdul Qashem of Shikri village in Benapole.
The victim's brother Shamsur Rahman said Habi, also former chairman of Putkhali union parishad in Benapole, went to Dhaka on Tuesday night (November 25) for business purpose and was abducted by some miscreants in Kamalapur area around 10.00pm.
His two mobile phones remained switched off since after his abduction, said Shamsur Rahman.
Later, a general diary was filed with Matijheel Police Station.
