Channel 16 to go off air, order issued

The Ministry of Information has asked the authorities concerned to take necessary actions to stop the broadcasting by 'Channel 16', a private TV channel, reports UNB.
Sources in the ministry told the news agency that they have already sent a letter, signed by ministry's senior assistant secretary Md Akhtaruzzaman Talukder, to the Home Ministry, the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) and Bangladesh Television in this connection.
