China hands over two warships to BD Navy

China officially handed over two warships to Bangladesh Navy at Jiangnan Shipyard in Shanghai of China on Wednesday, reports BSS.
Two warships - 'Omar Faruk' and 'Abu Ubaidah' - have been added to the fleet of Bangladesh Navy as part of its modernisation as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said an ISPR press release.
Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Aurangzeb Chowdhury was present as the chief guest at the handing over ceremony while Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Personnel), Rear Admiral Md Shaheen Iqbal, Deputy Commandant of Eastern Fleet of China Navy Rear Admiral Bai Yaoping were present, among others.
