Citizens' Rights Fair begins in city tomorrow

A two-day long "Nagorik Adhikar Mela (Citizens' Rights Fair)" will kick off tomorrow (Friday) at Shilpakala Academy in the city with a view to creating awareness about the rights of citizens.
Some 57 grassroots level development organisations, working to promote the rights of the poor and the marginalised, will participate in the fair.
This was announced at a press conference organised by BDI at the National Press Club on Wednesday.
The fair will remain open to all from 10:30am to 8:00 pm.
Rokeya Rafiq, executive director of Karmojibi Nari, Mohammad Jahangir, executive director of Media Nagorik Forum and Khushi Kabir, coordinator of Nijera Kori, among others, were present at the press briefing.
