City of London College (CLC), one of the oldest and leading private institutions based in the United Kingdom, has recently observed the 10th year of its presence in Bangladesh.
The celebration came at a time when the institution has been awarded "Premier College" status by the Accreditation Service for International Colleges (ASIC), which is authorised to inspect and accredit providers on behalf of the UK Border Agency under the new Points Based System.
The entity is also one of the few Independent Colleges to be included in the 'Listed Bodies' of the UK Government's DIUS/ DFES website, a requirement for students who need to obtain visas to study for degree courses in the UK.
"For three decades, CLC is offering quality education at affordable cost to students from all around the world including Bangladesh, who are securing employment all over the world," Director of CLC Shahzad Yousuf said on the occasion.
President and Vice Chancellor of IBAIS University Zakaria Lincoln, Director of Youth Education Service Jamali and CLC's International Marketing Manager Syed Zahidun Nabi also spoke on the occasion.
Established in 1979, CLC offers a wide range of undergraduate, post-graduate, professional and vocational courses on Hotel Management, Travel and Tourism Management, Marketing, Advertising and Communication Studies, Secretarial and Legal Secretarial Studies and English Language.
