City road crash kills rickshaw puller

A rickshaw puller, aged about 30 years, died as a passenger bus knocked his rickshaw in the city's Shapla Chattar intersection Friday, reports UNB.

Police said the accident took place when a speedy bus of 'Bahon Transport Company Limited' hit the rickshaw leaving its driver seriously injured about 1:30 pm. Locals rushed the victim to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where doctors on-duty pronounced him dead. Identity of the ill-fated victim, however, could not be known until the filing of the report about 3:30 pm.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Dulal, sub-inspector (SI) of Motijheel thana told the news agency police seized the bus and nabbed its driver Saiful Islam Sharif.
