Chief Justice (CJ) Syed Mahmud Hossain has reconstituted five benches of the High Court (HC) as the Supreme Court (SC) reopens today (Monday) after a long vacation of one and a half months, reports UNB.
Of the reconstituted benches, two are two-member ones and the rest are one-member ones (single benches).
The CJ and the judges of both the Appellate Division and the HC Division will hold a courtesy meeting with the Attorney General, Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) president and secretary and other lawyers at 10:00 am.
Earlier on August 14, the SC went on the autumn vacation.
However, vacation benches heard important matters at both the divisions during the period.
