Bangladesh is paying for climate change effects brought about by the callousness of developed countries and despite facing the highest risks, its preparedness is the best in the world, said Professor Emeritus Ainun Nishat of Brac University, said a statement.

Professor Nishat was addressing "A conversation with Bärbel Höhn, Sohara Mehroze Shachi and Ainun Nishat on Climate Justice & Screening of the Documentary 2040 - The Regeneration" at BRAC Centre Inn recently.

The event was organised by BRAC Business School and the Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER).

Bangladesh's environment has been altered for the gradual increase in world temperatures, added the key member of Bangladesh's climate change negotiation team at the United Nations.
