\\\'Combating corruption BD media\\\' award introduced

An award titled 'Combating Corruption Bangladesh Media' has been introduced for inspiring journalists to make report on combating corruption, reports BSS.
The objective of the award is to highlight and encourage the coverage of corruption across the country.
The initiative was taken in cooperation with German Development Cooperation (GIZ) and Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of Dhaka University (DU).
'Combating Corruption Bangladesh Media' awards span in five categories. Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) and Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will act as host for distributing the awards.
The formal announcement to the introduction of the 'Combating Corruption Bangladesh Media' awards was given at a press conference at CIRDAP auditorium.
Advisory committee members are noted journalist Abed Khan, PIB director general Shah Alamgir, ACC director general Dr Shamsul Arefin, GIZ senior adviser Tim Fanmullar were present at the press conference. They will distribute the awards to the winners.
