Commodore M Farid of Navy promoted to Rear Admiral

Commodore M Farid Habib of Bangladesh Navy has been promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral, reports UNB.
Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Sarwar Jahan Nizam congratulated him on his promotion to the rank of Rear Admiral.
Commodore Farid, who was born in a respectable Muslim family in Tangail in 1959, had joined Bangladesh Navy in July, 1976 as an Officer Cadet.
Later, he had received training in UK, USA, China and Australia and commanded different types of ships and establishments, said an ISPR release.
Currently, he has been working as Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Personnel) in the Naval Headquarters.
