Cops recover abducted schoolboy's body

MYMENSINGH, May 24 (UNB): Police dug out the body of a schoolboy from a warehouse at Kesharganj Bazar in Phulbaria upazila early Thursday, two months and 17days after his abduction.

The victim was identified as Mehdi Hasan Babu, son of Shahjahan Miah. He appeared in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination this year from Polashihata High School and secured GPA 5.

Ashikur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Detective Branch of Police of the district, said two young men--Tushar and Al Amin --called Babu out of his house on March 6 and killed him in a planned way over an issue relating to a local girl.

Later, they buried the body under the floor of the warehouse of Tushar's brother.

Earlier, DB police arrested Tushar and Al Amin on Wednesday night after victim's father filed a case.

During primary interrogation, they confessed to the killing, police said.
