Cops recover body of Rupali Bank officer in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, May 27: An officer of Rupali Bank was killed at his residence in the city's Port police station area today.

He was working at the bank's Saltgola branch in the city.

The body of Sajal Nandi (48) was recovered by the Bandar police under the Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) this afternoon.

Local people informed the police of the body inside his rented residence at Dhoppur in the city.

Bandar thana officer-in-charge Moinul Islam said Sajal's body of was found with his throat slit.

He was residing with his wife in the city.

The cause of the killing could not be known till filing this report at 7.20pm. The police started investigation and sent the body to hospital for autopsy, Moinul said.
