Cops recover missing DU student's body

Police recovered body of a missing Dhaka University (DU) student from the Sitalakkhya River in Narayanganj on Monday, reports bdnews24.com.

The victim, Parvez Ahmed, 20, was a second-year student in the Social Welfare Department of DU and worked part-time at the local Meghna Workers Multipurpose Association.

Police detained three victim's colleagues -- Jahangir, Shohag and Sharmin -- for interrogation.

Parvez went missing after he was called away around 8:00am on Sunday to provide an explanation for the association's budget, said OC Sajjadur Rahman citing the victim's family.

Locals called the police on Monday after finding the body floating in the river.
