Country’s first transgender TV newscaster

A person from the transgender community has joined a television channel as newscaster for the first time in the country’s history.

Private television channel Boishakhi has provided two transgender people with the opportunity to work with it, on the occasion of the International Women's Day 2021, to be observed on March 8.

The two transgender people, one of whom has joined as newscaster and another as actress in a drama serial, will be seen on the screen from March 8.

Newscaster Shishir will formally appear on the Boishakhi channel for the first time.

Nusrat Mou will be seen also for the first time on the screen in drama serial 'Chapabaz' to be telecasted on the same day at 9:20 PM.
