CHITTAGONG, Mar 6 (BSS): A couple was killed as the wife along with a cornice of the rooftop of a newly-built building fell down upon the husband in Purba Firoz Shah colony area of the port city Thursday morning.
The deceased were identified as schoolteacher Rajib Shil (43) and his wife assistant food inspector of Hathazari Upazila Sanchita Shil (35).
Officer-in-Charge of Akbar Shah Thana Abdul Majid said the cornice of the rooftop of the newly-constructed four-storey building belonging to the couple broke down along with Sanchita at around 6.45am and fell on her husband Rajib standing below.
