Court records confessional statements of two accused

SYLHET, July 21: A court in Sylhet recorded confessional statements of two more accused for killing 13-year Samiul Alam Rajon. They are Nur Ahmed and Dulal Mia. Earlier, the court recorded confession of 2 other accused.
Metropolitan magistrate Md. Anwarul Haque recorded the statements, court sources informed.
Meanwhile, a high-level committee, headed by the additional commissioner of SMP, SM Rukon Uddin would file its report in a day or two.
He is investigating the gruesome killing and allegations regarding  quick filing of a case by police, in which Sub -Inspector Aminul Islam stated 'an unidentified thief had been beaten to death on July 8'.
Contacted, Mr Rukon told this correspondent today that they had already talked to all concerned, including some locals and the family. They would submit their report by Thursday, he added.
Rajon was beaten to death on July 8 at the city's Kumargaon bus stand on the Sylhet-Sunamganj road by a group who blamed him as thief. They also videoed the torture and gruesome killing and spread it through internet.
Meanwhile, different groups and organisations continued demonstrations as yet, demanding death penalty for the killers.
The total number of arrested is 10, informed the officer in charge of Jalalabad police station Md. Akhtra Hossain today. Among them, four gave confessional statement and narrated the incident before the court.
