CHITTAGONG, Feb 6: The City Port Authority (CPA) has evacuated scores of illegal structures including shops, garages, slums etc raised along the Port Access Road.
Executive Magistrate and authorised officer of CPA Dr Anupam Saha conducted the drive against illegal occupants at middle Halishahar Mouza Wednesday.
The occupants illegally raised the structures decades back and have been engaged in criminal activities.
A team of security personnel with the local police reclaimed the large area near the port and the cost of the land is more than Tk 12.00 million, said acting secretary of CPA Md Muhibul Huq.
