Ctg fire kills old woman

CHATTOGRAM, Jan 27 (UNB): A 90-year old woman was killed and six houses were gutted in a fire at Dewannagar in Hathazari municipality area on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Salma Khatun, wife of Abdul Gafur of the area.
Md Jashim Uddin, deputy assistant director of Chattogram Fire Service and Civil Defence, said the fire broke out following an electric short circuit at Gafur's house at around 01:15 pm and soon spread to the adjacent houses.
