CHITTAGONG, Nov 23: The special metro service buses plying on the city roads abruptly suspended their operation from Sunday evening and continued the same for the second day today demanding of the traffic police to allow them to ply without route permits and fitness.
The buses numbering above 40 under the metro service association remained off the road from 7.0 pm yesterday without any prior notice, leaving thousands of commuters in trouble on their way home from offices.
DC (traffic) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police Faruk Ahmed said, "We will never accept their illegal and illogical demands and will take action against them,".
