CHITTAGONG, Dec 24: The annual general meeting (AGM) and biennial election to the Chittagong Press Club will be held on 30th and 31st December respectively at the club.

Final list of the candidates has been published. A total of 41 candidates are contesting for 15 posts of the club committee from January 2015 to December 2016 duration.

The candidates are - for president post: Ali Abbas, Asif Siraj, Kalim Sarwar, Jashim Chowdhury Sabuj and Rashed Rauf, senior vice president: Kazi Abul Mansur, Jamal Uddin Yusuf, Khorshed Alam and Ratan Kanti Debashis, vice president: Monjur Kader Monju and Salauhddin Md Reza, general secretary: Mohsin Chowdhury, Rafiqul Bahar and Suklal Das, joint secretary: Farid Uddin Chowdhury, Mohsin Kazi and Shahidul Islam, finance secretary: Tapash Barua Rumu, Md Faruque, Jishu Roy Chowdhury and Rashid Mamun, cultural secretary: Nasir Uddin Haider, Biswajit Barua and Shahidullah Shahrior, sports secretary: Golam Moula Murad and Nazrul Islam, library secretary: Anurup Kanti Das Titu and Shawkat Hossain, social services and entertainment secretary: Ayub Ali, Nasir Uddin Chowdhury and Shimul Nazrul, publicity and publication secretary: Alamgir Sabuj and Mintu Chowdhury, and members: Kamal Uddin Khokan, Faruq Iqbal, Abid Hossain, Moazzemul Huq, Rupam Chakraborty, Shamsul Huq Haidari, Shahid ul Alam and Swapan Mallick.
