Chittagong-Cox's Bazar-Teknaf Bus and Minibus Malik Samity president Nabab Mian and general secretary Nurul Hakim in a joint statement recently urged the owners of buses plying on the route not to pay line fees to those who were illegally occupying the office of the Samity despite a court order.
A High Court division bench issued an order declaring the elected executive committee of the Samity led by Nabab Mian and Nurul Hakim valid, they claimed in the statement.
Despite the court order, their opponents were still occupying the office and collecting line fees without giving any receipt, the leaders alleged.
They also urged the law-enforcing agencies to take action against the illegal collection of line fees.
