Customs seize 58 gold bars at HSIA



The customs seized on Monday 58 gold bars weighing 6.7 kilogrammes at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA).
The gold bars worth Tk 33 million were found wrapped in a blanket. A man identified as Alam (45) was held in this connection. He arrived at the airport from Bahrain in the morning, according to officials of the Preventive Team of Dhaka Customs House. During interrogation, Alam told the officials that his friend Haider gave him the blanket to carry it to Haider's village home. A case was filed in this connection.
