Dacoit beaten to death

KUSHTIA, Oct 7 (UNB) : An alleged dacoit was killed in mass beating at Mothurapur village in Daulatpur upazila Saturday night.
Police said, a gang of 25/30 dacoits stormed into the house of Amjad Hossain of the village at dead of night, and started looting cash and other valuables at gunpoint.
Hearing their hue and cry local people rushed to the spot. The bandits then opened fire and beat them indiscriminately leaving six of them injured, two by bullets.
At one stage, the local people after a chase caught one of the robbers, identified as Hamidul (35), and beat him to death.
