Tarik Hasan Shahriar, a senior correspondent of daily sun, has been awarded the UNFPA-Family Planning Media Award-2014 for his investigative reports on maternal and child health, public health, malnutrition, safe food and population problems in the country.
He also wrote reports on the adverse impacts of salinity on public health in costal regions of the country.
A total of six journalists from the print, electronic and audio media won the award.
Tarik Hasan Shahriar also won this prestigious media award last year.
