JOYPURHAT, July 14 (UNB): A daring dacoity was committed at Grameen Bank, Barail branch, at Khetlal Upazila Friday.
Sources said a gang of bandits entered into the branch building and residential rooms cutting window grills and they beat branch manager Anwar Hossain, centre manager Amarat Hossain, guard Abdur Razzak and peon Rabiul mercilessly, leaving them seriously injured.
Later, they looted valuables, including a TV set, two bicycles, three mobile phone sets and Tk 21,000 in cash.
The injured were admitted to the Upazila Health Complex where conditions of Anwar Hossain and Abdur Razzak were stated to be critical. A case was filed in this connection.
