DCC, JOCVs organise seminar on Clean Dhaka- Green Dhaka-2015

Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) and Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCVs) jointly organised a seminar on "Clean Dhaka- Green Dhaka-2015" in the city recently.
A total of 50 students from class four to class eight of Rajarbag Police Line School and College took part in the awareness campaign.
Rajarbag Police Line School and College Principal Liaquat Ali, DCC Deputy Chief Conservancy Officer Dewan Mohammad Shah Alam, Deputy Director of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Mayumi Isogai and Syedul Arefin also spoke on the occasion.
Speakers stressed on children's awareness about the waste management. They said that children could motivate elders to make a clean Dhaka city.
Presentation on waste problem and animation film on solid waste management were shown at the workshop. JOCVs of JICA has already organised such awareness workshops at the DCC Ward Nos 6, 65, 34 and 36.
