The 21st death anniversary of advocate Badiul Alam will be observed today (Saturday), says a press release.
Also a freedom fighter and politician, Badiul Alam was born at Fatehnagar village in Chandonaish thana of Chattogram in 1926
He did his undergraduate degree from Calcutta University in 1946 and LLB degree from Dhaka University respectively. During the Liberation War in Chittagong he was an Awami League Regional President.
After the Liberation War in 1972, he became vice president of the Lawyer's Association and in 1981 became the president of the association.
Marking the day, Advocate Badiul Alam Memorial Foundation will organise a dua mahfil at Chandonaish.
