Death anniv of Maj Gani today

The 58th death anniversary of Major (retd) Abdul Gani, founder of East Bengal Regiment and Language Movement veteran, will be observed today (Tuesday) in Comilla and other parts of the country.
Different organisations including Major Gani Parishad have chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the day in a befitting manner, says a press release.
The programmes include placing wreathes at his grave in Comilla Cantonment and offering munajat seeking salvation of the departed soul.
