Death toll from Ghatail Cantt mortar shell blast now 6

TANGAIL, Feb 13 (UNB): Another Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) member who was injured in the Wednesday's mortar shell blast during a training programme at Ghatail Cantonment has died, taking the death toll from the incident to six.

BGB Sepoy M Ali Zinnah succumbed to his injuries at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in the capital on Wednesday night.

Earlier, three BGB men and two members of Bangladesh Army were killed and 11 others, including Zinnah, injured in the mortar shell blast at the Ghatail Cantonment on Wednesday noon.

The deceased army men were identified as senior warrant officers Parvez of 20 East Bengal and Manzur of 4 East Bengal while the three BGB members as Lance Nayek Mohammad Ali, Sepoy Abu Sufiyan and Sepoy Ekram of 3 BGB battalion.
