Denmark lauds govt for rescuing kidnapped DANIDA official

Denmark thanked Bangladesh government for an "excellent cooperation" extended in rescuing the kidnapped DANIDA official from Bandarban in Chittagong Hill Tracts, reports UNB.
Danish Minister for Development and Cooperation Ulla Tornaes conveyed the gratitude through a telephone call from Copenhagen to Foreign Adviser Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury Monday afternoon.
Iftekhar Chowdhury ex-pressed deep appreciation of Denmark's "sustained support" to Bangladesh's development efforts.
He said that Bangladesh "looked to expanding its political, economic and cultural relations with Denmark more widely and deeply."
