Derailment disrupts train services

MOULVIBAZAR, Oct 3 (UNB) : The locomotive of a train along with two bogies derailed near Srimongol railway station Wednesday, disrupting train services on Sylhet-Dhaka and Sylhet-Chittagong routes.
Sources said Akhaura-bound Kushiara Express from Sylhet veered off the track at about 1pm as its driver ignored a signal and continued to drive on.
Seven people, sitting in the locomotive, were injured in the accident. They were admitted to Sadar Hospital.
Rescue operation could not be started till filing of the report.
