Dhaka temp inches up

Temperature in Dhaka inched up further on Sunday despite witnessing light rainfall.

The Met Office recorded the maximum temperature in Dhaka at 34 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature at 27 degrees against 33.3 degrees and 26.3 degrees Celsius on Saturday.

However, 8.0 millimeters of rainfall was recorded in Dhaka until 6:0pm on Sunday.

The country's highest temperature on the day was 35.6 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi while the minimum temperature was recorded at 24.2 at Teknaf.

The Met Office forecasted that light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country today (Monday).
