The Dhaka University Mourning Day was observed on the campus Wednesday, commemorating the students, employees and guests killed in a building collapse at Jagannath Hall on the night of October 15 in 1985, reports UNB.
A mourning procession, led by DU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique was brought out from the foot of Aparajeya Bangla around 7:30 am.
The procession ended inside the Jagannath Hall after parading the campus. Later, floral wreaths were placed at the memorial on the dormitory premises.
