Dialogue with dwellers of Mohakhali Sattala slum held

A dialogue was held with the Mohakhali Sattala slum dwellers at a city hotel on Thursday. Dhaka WASA organised the programme after completing legal water connection to the slum, says a press release.

Chief of Water and Environmental Sanitation Section Charlie Hrachya Sargsyan was present on the occasion as the chief guest. Director of Water Aid Imrul Kayes, Executive Director of Dushtha Shasthya Kendra (DSK) Dr Dibalok Singh, Executive Director of Bangladesh Association for Social Advancement (BASA) AKM Sirajul Islam and representative of NDBUS Fatema Aktar were present in the programme as the special guests. Dhaka WASA Managing Director Engineer Taqsem A Khan presided over the programme.  

Dhaka WASA in association with UNICEF completed the 2nd phase connection to the Mohakhali Sattala slum recently. Dhaka WASA achieved the Water Leaders' Award-2013 at the 'Global Water Summit' for providing 1st phase legal water connection to the  slum.
