Different organisations stand beside Sidr victims

More local and international organisations distributed relief goods among the Sidr victims in different cyclone-affected areas of southern districts.
Concern Worldwide: Concern Worldwide, an international humanitarian organisation, has started its 45-day relief operation in Borguna and Potuakhali districts.
Under the programme, it will provide sufficient foods and other materials to 26,000 families for at least 45 days with the financial assistance from the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid Department (ECHO) and Concern's supporters in Ireland, UK and the United States.
Of the total, 16,000 families will receive assistance in Borguna while 10,000 in Potuakhali.
The relief package for each family includes 30kg rice, 3kg pulses, 2 litres vegetable oil, 1 kg salt, 1 kg semolina, 1 kg sugar, 5 packets of ORS, 2 pieces of soap, one blanket, two shawls, one mosquito net, six candles and two match boxes.
Youngone Corporation: Youngone Corporation, Korea has donated US$ 100,000 to the Chief Adviser's Relief and Welfare Fund.
President of Korean Export Processing Zone and BS Ryu of Youngone Corporation handed over the cheque for the amount to Chief Adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed Sunday.
CA's Relief Fund : Many organisations, business houses and individuals donated over Tk 15 million, $ 0.1 million and other relief materials to the Chief Advisor's Relief Fund Sunday.
The organisations and individuals who contributed to the relief fund include Sonali Bank--Tk 10.5 million, DCCI--Tk 2.0 million, Officers' Club, Dhaka-- Tk 0.5 million, Lt ABM Abdullah and Mostafizur Rahman--Tk 0.150 million and 400 cartons of biscuits, RB Group--Tk 0.1 million, Khan Brothers Group-- Tk 0.1 million, Humayun Kamal Islam of USA-- Tk 0.1 million, Humayun Kabir Islam of USA--Tk 50,000, M Nurul Islam- Tk 50,000 and Achhia Khatun-Tk 50,000.
Besides, HM Mahmood Kabir donated Tk 25,000 while Abu Naser Khan--Tk 25,000, Fahad Filling Station, Brahmanbaria-- Tk 25,000, Liao Shih-Cheng, Chairman of Double Fortune Co Ltd--Tk 20000, M Salahuddin--Tk 10,000, Mohidur Rahman--Tk 10,000, MT Hossain--Tk 3,000 and Ahmed Ahsan Mostafa--Tk 720.
