Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim said Saturday the government would upgrade diploma medical doctors' service into second class, reports BSS.
"I will discuss with the Prime Minister about your service status for improving diploma medical service into second class," he said while speaking as the chief guest at a big gathering at Lalmatia in the city.
Bangladesh Diploma Medical Association organised the rally with its president Shamsul Huda in the chair.
The rally was also addressed, among others, by lawmaker Habibey Millat, Director General of Health Service Professor Deen M Noorul Haque and Director General of Family Planning Noor Hossain Talukder.
"I will carry out my commitment but you have to give commitment for discharging your duties to common people with sincerity," Nasim said.
He said diploma medical doctors' demand to be implemented completing procedure by the next three months.
