Disaster minister Dulu hospitalised after falling ill at Saidpur Airport


Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu was admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital for treatment after he suddenly fell ill at Saidpur Airport in Nilphamari on Saturday.
Also organising secretary of the BNP's Rangpur division unit, Dulu was admitted to the hospital around 4:10pm.
President of Saidpur district unit BNP Abdur Gafur Sarkar said that an air ambulance brought the minister to Dhaka from Saidpur Airport under an emergency arrangement after he suddenly fell ill in the morning at the airport while travelling to his home district Lalmonirhat.
Earlier the minister had arrived at Saidpur Airport by a flight from Dhaka in the morning and fell ill at the lounge.
He was immediately taken to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) at Saidpur Cantonment where he received primary treatment. Arrangement was initially made to send the minister back to Dhaka on a scheduled flight at around 12:10pm.
However, as his condition did not improve, he was unable to travel by commercial flight. Later, he was sent to Dhaka by an air ambulance.
