Discussion on 'AIDS Awareness' held

The Association for Nutritional Development and Rural Advancement (Andra), a service-oriented non-government development organisation, held a discussion on 'AIDS Awareness' among students, teachers and employees of school at Shaheed Smriti High School in the city Thursday.
Presided over by Andra Chairman Tanvir Tarique, the discussion was addressed, among others, by Prof Kamrul Ahsan Chowdhury of Dhaka University as the chief guest, journalist SN Nowroz Zahan as the special guest and Andra General Secretary and governing body chairman of the school MM Mojid Miah.
Also present at the discussion were headmaster of the school Rafiullah, Aushok Kanti Guh, Monzu Dey and Md Bazlur Rashid.
Khondoker Afiya Sultana conducted the discussion.
The Andra chairman said it is high time that the students became aware of the killer discase AIDS and save the nation.
The Andra general secretary advised teachers to play their constructive role in increasing awareness among students about the disease.
