DNCC demolishes 200 illegal structures

A mobile court of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Thursday pulled down around 200 illegal structures on the footpaths in the city's Agargaon area, according to a press release.

Led by DNCC executive magistrate SM Ajiur Rahman, the mobile court launched the drive in the area at around 12:00pm with the help from Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

The drive was conducted near and around the Election Commission (EC) secretariat, the press release added.

However, DNCC had carried out an eviction drive in the same place a year ago but the occupant returned to the place a few months ago.
