DNCC dismantles 50 structures at Gabtoli

The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) demolished an estimated 50 illegal structures, including brick and sand trading houses, in Gabtoli Beribandh area on Wednesday.

The DNCC also gave a seven-day ultimatum to the dealers to relocate their merchandise such as bricks, stones and sand.

DNCC regional executive officer and executive magistrate Mohammad Jalal Uddin, estate officer and executive magistrate Farzana Khanam and executive magistrate Md Shahidul Islam conducted the drive, reads a statement.

DNCC administrator Mohammad Azaz was present during the operation.

He told the media that it was their responsibility to free the estates of the city corporation from encroachments.
