Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) will resume the cleaning drive (combing operation) in every ward to prevent the citizens from dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases from today (Monday) till November 12.
The drive will be conducted in 54 wards from 9:00 in the morning till 12:00 noon. There will be no drive on November 06 (Friday).
Mobile courts will also be conducted by zonal executive officers and executive magistrates alongside the combing operation.
The decision was made at a virtual meeting Saturday evening with Mayor Atiqul Islam, the councillors and other officials of the city corporation. The mayor instructed every ward councillor and the councillors of the reserved seats to be present during the cleaning drive.
"We have to prevent dengue outbreak during the ongoing corona pandemic anyhow," the mayor said in the meeting.
