The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday to integrate DNCC services into the government's online Nagorik Seba (Citizen Services) platform.

DNCC Secretary Mohammad Asaduzzaman and Joint Secretary Md. Mujibur Rahman, ICT Division, signed the MoU at the Agargaon ICT Bhaban in the capital in the morning, according to a press statement.

DNCC Administrator Mohammad Ejaz was present as the chief guest at the event, while ICT Department Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury was present as the special guest.

DNCC Administrator Ejaz said, "There is no alternative to digital services to prevent corruption in government services and increase citizen benefits. By reducing human interaction through digitization of citizen services, people will be able to receive services quickly and hassle-free. "

He said that with the signing of the deal providing government services will become easier and transparent.

Currently, a total of 465 government services are being provided from six centers in the capital through the "Nagorik Sheba" platform.

These include land services, birth and death registration, passport services, BRTA services and various allowance application services.

Through this new MoU, Dhaka North City Corporation's holding tax and trade license related services will be included in the platform.
