DNCC warns of strict action against noise pollution in Shahjalal Airport area

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Administrator Safiqul Islam Khan on Friday warned of strict action against noise pollution in the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport area in the capital Dhaka, which has been declared a silent zone, reports BSS.

He made the announcement while addressing a noise-awareness rally and gathering at Gulshan-2 Circle on the occasion of World Environment Day.

The programme was jointly organised by DNCC, Department of Environment (DoE), Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA).

"The airport area has been declared a silent zone. From today, no noise pollution will be tolerated there.
