Professor Dr MA Hadi, former vice- chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) and president of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA), died of a cardiac arrest at Ibn Sina Hospital early Tuesday morning, reports BSS.
He was 68.
Prof Hadi is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters, and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
Two namaz-e-janazas were held on the premises of the BMA and the BSMMU.
He will be buried today. His body is kept at the mortuary of the BIRDEM Hospital, family sources said.
