Professor Dr. Mohammad Saiful Alam has taken charge as the 14th proctor of Gazipur Agricultural University (GAU). Prior to the appointment, he served as its director of Student Welfare from September 2024.
Dr. Alam began his career as a lecturer in the Department of Soil Science (DSS), GAU in 2006, and was promoted to the rank of professor in 2018. Between 2014 and 2016, he served as the DSS head.
He earned his PhD from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2013, and later completed post-doctoral research at Nagoya University, Japan during 2018-2019. He has over 70 peer-reviewed research publications to his name.
